Dottie Pettes received her Education Specialist General Education Administration from Lincoln Memorial University as well as her Masters in Learning Disabilities from Hunter College and Bachelors in Sociology and Education from Metropolitan State College. She has been teaching for 36 years and specializes in Special Education.

Prior to joining the ANCS family, she served as Counselor for the Higher Education Opportunity Program, Education Coordinator for a private agency, and Special Education Teacher for a junior high school. Additionally, she worked as a Special Education Teacher for DeKalb County and Instructional Support Teacher and Special Education Coordinator for Fulton County.

In her free time, Ms. Pettes enjoys traveling, bike riding, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
