Leah Foster

K-8 504 Coordinator

Leah Foster began teaching at ANCS in the 2015-2016 school year. She returned to teaching after being a stay-at-home mom. Prior to that, she taught 3rd grade in Fulton County and 1st grade in Dekalb County. Ms. Foster earned her B.A. degree in 2005 Bennington College in Theater/Early Childhood Education. She also holds an M.A.T. from The University of Georgia in Early Childhood Education.

Ms. Foster has a reading endorsement on her teaching certification and she loves working with readers at all ages, but she describes STEM as “my first love”. Science is her favorite subject to teach. Ms. Foster says, “I’ve set up STEM labs at both of my prior schools! I had the wonderful fortune to work full time in the STEM lab as a specialist for one year in Dekalb as well.”

Ms. Foster has two daughters who also attend ANCS. She loves museum adventures, hiking, paddle boarding, gardening and interior design. She is an avid reader and lifelong learner…and is a sucker for animals: She has two dogs, two cats and a flock of backyard chickens.
