This committee ensures that Parent Representatives are lined up for each Advisory at the middle campus. At the elementary campus they coordinate activities, help coordinate volunteers and serve as a direct line of communication for families about class information.

Boxtops & Loyalty Programs

Building & Grounds Committee
This committee maintains and improves our school buildings and grounds. The school is in the process of implementing a comprehensive site plan and also helps with the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) health and safety plan for the school. If you have talents in any of the building or landscaping trades – or if you just don’t mind tackling a “honey-do” list once in awhile, we’d love your help. Becoming a member of the elite S.W.A.T. team and help to ensure a quality physical learning environment for our students.

Health & Wellness Committee
This committee brings together all the great resource families need to keep healthy, well and stay informed. Through an online resource center that has fun information about great ways to build strong nutritional habits, fitness events and opportunities, effective strategies to deal with allergies and special needs, and supporting good wellness practices all to build healthy minds and bodies that are ready to learn. Anyone interested in spreading the word about nutrition, fitness, allergy management and wellness practices is encouraged to join this committee.

New Family Partners
This committee helps welcome new ANCS families by partnering them with a family has been at ANCS for a year or more. By helping familiarize new families with the school, we offer them an opportunity to meet other ANCS families, encourage involvement in their child’s education, and help them meet their volunteer obligations.

Principal’s Coffee & Third Friday Coffee
A social tradition at the Elementary School campus, this Third Friday morning coffee klatch let’s families get to know each other and talk about all the goings on at our wonderful school. Principal Underwood hosts regular coffees each month to connect and communicate with families.

Related Arts Committee
This committee helps our related arts teachers plan and execute special programs in the arts, music, Spanish, and physical education programs at ANCS. Working to integrate the related arts from all cultures represented within the school for recognition, exploration, and celebration as well as helping coordinate events like Festival de Colores, and Field Day.

Technology Committee
Coordinates and assesses technology at ANCS to insure that the equipment and educational implementation will provide students with the tools they need to succeed. Conducts school-wide technology research and implementation including development and maintenance of the school website. Encourages school use of available technology.
