EC Principal Letter

Dear ANCS Elementary Families,

I want to thank Christina Washington and Joni Dubriel for all their hard work and effort to make Fall Fest such a successful and fun family event this past Saturday. We were thrilled that the day’s activities were able to be enjoyed before the rain started. I know that there were many volunteers behind the scenes that helped make this possible, including staying and cleaning up in the rain!  We rely on our volunteers and appreciate you more than you could ever know! Thank you so much for your support and dedication to our school.

I cannot believe that I am saying this, but the holiday season is upon us, believe it or not! Our annual Winter Wonderland is right around the corner on December 10th. It will be here before we know it! This event cannot happen without your help. Ms. Wawerna depends on volunteers each year to help decorate the lower field, set up the night of the event and then help take things down after the show. Please sign up here if you are willing and able to help with any of these activities. We all thank you in advance for your support!

The students are working hard in music learning songs for this big night. This year’s theme is Peace and Light: Holidays Around the World.. Mark your calendars!  This will be a one-night event on December 10th (rain date December 11th) and will take place outside on the lower field in the back of the school. Doors open at 6:00 and the show will start at 6:30 and runs until 7:30.  Each grade level will sing a song and then we will have a sing-along all together. This is a really fun evening for the whole family. You should have seen communication in your class newsletter. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Finally, just another reminder that with the weather getting cooler (I dare say, down right cold!) and then warm again, our lost and found has gotten very full. Please take some time to head down to the cafeteria to look through the rack and shelves, or encourage your child to do the same during their lunch time. We try to offer time during the school day for students to look through the racks, but it is not really something that is top of their mind. We also bring the lost and found to the parent coffees, so stop by those when they happen. It is also helpful to label your child’s lunchbox, water bottle and clothing. We will return things to students if they are labeled. All items remaining in the lost and found on December 18th  will be donated.

As always, I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Have a wonderful remainder of your week.

Lara
