Barrett Coker Krise joined the ANCS governing board for the 2020-21 school year. She has one daughter who is in preschool. Barrett is a senior philanthropic officer for the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta and is a certified philanthropy consultant for multi-generational families through the 21/64 network. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and graduate of LEAD Atlanta, a program of Leadership Atlanta. She is an alumna of Kenyon College in Gambier, OH where she earned a B.A. in English and a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy from the American College.

Barrett has built her career in the nonprofit sector for more than 20 years and has a long history and experience serving the greater Atlanta community. She brings expertise in fund development, governance and organizational best practices. Having the opportunity to serve the school community and the broader education community is a tremendous honor. She’s excited to engage more deeply in the school community – the faculty, staff, families and administration of ANCS – and learn more about the innovations ANCS applies to the educational process.

She is a fourth-generation native of Atlanta, and has lived in the historic neighborhood of Cabbagetown since 2004 with her family. She enjoys reading, knitting, traveling anywhere and everywhere and cooking.
