Emily Ormsby

Treasurer; Finance & Operations Chair

Emily Ormsby is serving her third year on the governing board of ANCS. Her daughter is a second grader, and her son is in kindergarten.

Her professional background is diverse with roles ranging from sales to internal audit and industries ranging from commercial real estate to not-for-profits. The common thread for each of these roles is the importance of listening, understanding people and processes, and connecting the dots. These are the skills she offers the ANCS board. Additionally, as a CPA, she brings a technical accounting background. The best part about volunteering her time as an ANCS Board Member is exhibiting community involvement for her children who she hopes will grow up seeing volunteering as their non-negotiable duty.

Emily believes in ANCS’s mission of engaging the whole child. As the daughter of a public school teacher, the product of a public school education, and the mother of two complete and complex humans, she is encouraged by ANCS’s focus on students’ social-emotional and physical development while still achieving educational excellence.

Emily and her husband have been residents of Grant Park since 2004. In her spare time she enjoys gardening and reading.
