Pouya Dianat

Fund Development Chair

Pouya joined the Governing Board in the 2021-22 school year. He has one child in first grade at ANCS and a daughter who is two years old.

Pouya moved to Atlanta as a photojournalist turned creative thinker. As a sports photographer he worked for the AJC, ESPN, New York Times, Sports Illustrated and the Atlanta Baseball Club. He considers himself a “fairly big nerd,” as he has always tinkered with pushing the limits of cameras to tell stories on fighter jets, helicopters, cars, hundreds of cameras for volumetric capture, on infrared channels for clients big and small. Nowadays his camera is at his side for fun while he rides his cargo e-bike or when he’s watching some even more talented practitioners of movie magic.

He gets a kick from meeting incredible Atlantans from all walks of life who are creating something new. He believes technology can help us become more human if we harness it for good so he spends a lot of time reading and dreaming about the future led by our children as they accomplish that very vision.

On Friday nights you can find him with his wife, Mallory, their kids and pizza. Every Friday night is pizza movie night. He prides himself on building (and breaking) things in his spare time. He wants to travel and experience the rest of the world with his family as often as possible. He is not good at gardening, but he’s learning.
