School Nurse, Middle Campus

Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School works to engage the whole child – intellectually, socially-emotionally and physically. As such, the well-being of our students is a daily focus. It is the primary responsibility of the School Nurse – Middle Campus to see to the physical health of our middle campus students on a daily basis.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Attend to general daily health issues for students at the school’s middle campus
    • Maintain first aid supplies
    • Distribute authorized medications
    • Respond to illnesses and injuries
  • Maintain and uphold school’s COVID-19 mitigation strategies and protocols for as long as applicable/necessary
    • Manage daily COVID-19 screening process for all middle campus students
    • Set up, distribute and maintain personal protective equipment
    • Monitor practices and policies for effective social distancing
  • Maintain updated medical information for all students
    • Complete immunization records review according to all applicable laws and regulations
  • Provide relevant medical and wellness training to middle campus faculty and staff
  • Provide consultative support to faculty and staff in regards to student health issues
  • Ensure compliance with all charter school reporting requirements at every applicable level

This successful candidate will also be required to:

  • Engage in continuous and germane professional development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, administration, parents, community members and others to support and implement the vision and goals of the school
  • Work effectively with a diverse population of colleagues, students and families
  • Attend and participate in all faculty and school related meetings
  • Work an eight hour day including flexible hours as needed to complete professional responsibilities
  • Handle additional duties assigned by administration
