The face of commuting in Atlanta is changing. Has your commute gotten more hectic? Are you searching for commute options such as transit, ride sharing, or carpooling?
Please join us on October 8th, as we explore the ease of using transit. We will explore the use of MARTA in District 1. Councilmember Carla Smith represents District 1, and she along with MARTA representatives, and Fred Huff with Safety-N-Motion will be conducting a series of classes highlighting transit commute options. We will be spotlighting the different routes, neighborhoods, and businesses that make up District 1.
On the first route, we will be highlighting MARTA Route 832. The 832 is a Community Circulator that operates East/West from the West End station, to Summer Hill, Grant Park, Atlanta Zoo, and the Moreland shopping Center. We are most pleased to spotlight the Fresh MARTA Market. The Fresh MARTA Market is a farm stand that features locally grown fresh produce from members of the southwest Atlanta Growers Cooperative. The Fresh MARTA Market will be at the West End station and will be the final stop for the Route 832 commuter class.
So, if you are looking for new commute alternatives, and are new to riding MARTA – Come join us! October 8, 2019 @ 12:00pm at West End station. Parking is available, but tour seats are limited. Councilmember Carla Smith will be providing a limited number of MARTA Breeze cards to participants. To register for District 1 Commuter Day please go to www.commutercamp.com . Seats for the class are first come first served, so register quickly. And look forward to our soon to be released schedule for additional classes in this series in the coming weeks.
