Adrian Douglas

5th Grade Teacher

Adrian Douglas has a Bachelor of Science in Education in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Arts in Creative and Innovative Education (concentrated in Nonprofit Educational Leadership). This is his first year at ANCS, but he has worked in the school setting for five years.

Adrian’s professional experience is centered around education and community engagement (organizing, outreach, and service). During his undergraduate experience, he worked in various leadership roles in Jumpstart at GSU and supported the development of the Tiles for Social Justice Project, a creative project that integrates reading, writing, art, social justice education, and more. He has been serving his community as a classroom teacher and mentor teacher while balancing multiple fellowships for the past several years. He has supported teachers, new teachers in particular, in growing their capacity to lead within and beyond the classroom.

Adrian enjoys learning about policy and politics, listening to music, going out to eat, and talking to people.
