Associate Teacher

Marissa Washington joined ANCS in 2026 as an Associate Teacher. She brings four years of experience in education and is passionate about helping every student feel supported, valued, and successful. She is especially excited to continue growing her work in special education and building meaningful relationships with students and families.

Ms. Washington earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California State University, Northridge. Her experience working with diverse learners has strengthened her commitment to creating inclusive learning environments where all students can thrive.

Prior to joining ANCS, Ms. Washington spent four years at KIPP Atlanta Schools, where she served in a variety of roles. During her final year, she worked as a paraprofessional, an experience that sparked her passion for special education and deepened her desire to support students with diverse learning needs.

Originally from California, Ms. Washington enjoys spending time outdoors, especially going for walks with her son and her dog, Daisy. She loves Mexican food but is always eager to try new cuisines. Above all, she enjoys working with children and considers it a privilege to help them learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
