Learning Lab Learning Specialist
Molly Curran joined the ANCS faculty in the 2015-2016 school year. Many of her former students know her as Ms. Kent. She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. Her love of teaching reading inspired her to pursue Master of Education in Reading Education from Georgia Southern University and become a reading specialist. Molly began her teaching career in South Carolina and then moved back to Atlanta to be closer to friends and family. She loves being part of the ANCS school family that is centered around building relationships.
She has always been an avid reader and writer which translates into who she is as a teacher. She believes that books shape lives, foster empathy, and unlock new worlds. Helping a child fall in love with reading is something that she feels passionate about. Molly is happiest when teaching outside (preferably standing on a picnic table) which works out well being so close to Grant Park.
Outside of school, she loves spending time with her sweet dogs and husband, Patrick. They live in East Atlanta and can often be found walking around the neighborhood with their dogs, Sadie and Vix. She is also an aspiring yogi, gardener, and gluten free cook working on fulfilling her dream of visiting all of the National Parks.
