Stephen Smith

5th Grade Teacher

Stephen Smith attended the University of West Georgia and earned a bachelor’s degree in English.

Mr. Smith has been teaching for six years. Prior to working at ANCS, he worked in higher education in housing and residence life at the University of West Georgia and taught freshman English courses. Most recently, he worked at Kindezi – Old Fourth Ward teaching 5th grade.

He is active in his community in regards to eradicating racism, abolishing prisons, and providing stabilization for those who suffer housing and food insecurity, along with those who have had their human and civil rights violated. Mr. Smith enjoys writing and reading, along with politics and history.
