6th/7th Grade Design Teacher
 

Tova Baruch has been a part of the ANCS faculty for 5 years as the 6th and 7th grade design teacher. She holds a B.F.A. in Professional Photographic Illustration with a dual minor in Sociology and Women’s Studies from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master of Arts in Teaching degree for Middle Level Education with concentration in Social Studies and Language Arts from Georgia State University.

Before coming to ANCS Ms. Baruch taught Social Studies with a focus on offering multiple perspectives and the importance of civic involvement. She initiated and implemented a Student Government Association at the elementary level and coordinated service learning and community service opportunities.

Before pursuing her Masters degree in education, Tova was a professional photographer. She worked for national magazines and has had work showcased in galleries. She also created photography workshops for children; most notably Camp Sunshine – a camp for children with cancer.

Ms. Baruch moved to Atlanta almost 20 years ago from Brooklyn, NY where she was born and raised. She loves living in Atlanta, a city where time and passion can have a huge impact on a community. As a community leader she has helped acquire, develop and build a city park and community center. She continues to work at maintaining and improving these assets. She lives in this old mill village with her husband and two beautiful children. She loves gardening, hiking, horseback riding and traveling to places near and far.
