Xavier Raymond
Security Resource Officer
Xavier Raymond joined ANCS in 2025 as the School Resource Officer. With more than three decades of military and law enforcement experience, including 11 years working in school settings, Officer Raymond is dedicated to fostering a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where students and staff can thrive.
Officer Raymond earned an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland Global Campus while serving in the United States Marine Corps. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Marines and proudly served during the Persian Gulf War before beginning his law enforcement career in 1993.
Throughout his career, Officer Raymond has served in a wide range of law enforcement roles, including patrol operations, crime suppression, corrections, and field training. With the Fulton County Police Department, he worked as a patrol officer, served on the Crime Suppression Unit, and mentored newly hired officers as a Field Training Officer. He also served in maximum-security operations at the Fulton County Jail. Later, he spent six and a half years in the Middle East supporting U.S. government missions, training Iraqi National Police officers and serving in Diplomatic Security at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan. Since returning to Atlanta in 2016, he has served as a School Resource Officer with Atlanta Public Schools.
Outside of school, Officer Raymond enjoys traveling with his wife, especially overseas, and spending time with his twin grandchildren. He has a lifelong interest in history, particularly military history, and enjoys reading biographies, watching documentaries, and learning about real-world events. He is also an avid sports fan—though he admits golf is one sport he has yet to master.
