EC Assistant Principal Letter
Dear ANCS Elementary Families,
It is hard to believe that we are already a little over a week into November and the Thanksgiving break is quickly approaching. Our days here at school have been filled with impactful learning experiences and we are seeing growth in our students everyday.
It was great to see so many of you at Fall Fest on Saturday! If you were unable to attend, not to worry, there is another big event happening at the elementary campus in December. Mark your calendars! This year our Winter Wonderland event will take place on December 6th from 6:00-7:30p on the lower field of the elementary campus. Each grade level will perform a song followed by a sing along with everyone, audience members included! Students are expected to arrive at 6p in order to be ready for a 6:30p showtime. Look out for additional details in upcoming courier letters and classroom pages as the date gets closer In the meantime, if you are interested in helping in any way, please reach out to Annette Wawerna (awawerna@atlncs.org).
Finally, just another reminder that with the weather getting cooler and then warm again, our lost and found has gotten rather full. Please take some time to head down to the cafeteria to look through the rack and shelves, or encourage your child to do the same during their lunch time or before morning meeting begins. It is also helpful to label your child’s lunchbox, water bottle and clothing. We will return things to students if they are labeled. All items remaining in the lost and found on December 15th will be donated.

Nicole King
In 2017, Nicole King returned to ANCS as a 1st Grade Teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Agnes Scott College (2005) and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Massachusetts Lowell (2012). Before her return to ANCS, she taught at Trinity School in Atlanta for 5 years (2012-2017), Billingsville Elementary School in Charlotte for 3 years (2009-2012), and Neighborhood Charter School as a 1st Grade Teacher (2006-2009).
