Dear ANCS Elementary Families,
I hope you had a meaningful and peaceful MLK holiday weekend, and were able to enjoy an extra day off on Tuesday. This week we will continue to reflect on the work of Dr. King. Our mindful moment this week is centered around a quote from Dr. King, “The time is always right to do what’s right.” Ask your child what this quote means to them.
We have a celebrations committee here at the EC and they, along with our new DE&I co directors, are working on our Black History Month celebration, which we will begin in February and extend into March. I will be sharing more about what we will be doing in school and ways that you can extend learning at home in my upcoming courier letters. So, be on the lookout for that.
We are having a teacher recruitment fair at both campuses on January 27th from 10:30-12:30. If you know a dynamic, skilled educator that you think would be a good fit for our school, please encourage them to stop by. We have information on our website, along with a place for interested parties to RSVP and submit a resume. We know word of mouth is our greatest form of recruitment!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and, as always, please reach out if you have any questions.
Wishing you well,
