EC Principal Letter

Dear ANCS Elementary Families,

What a wonderful week this has been! Starting our day all together again in the auditorium for our school-wide morning meeting has been joyful and amazing, and honestly a little emotional. Our students did such a great job following the new routines and expectations. It was so nice to have parents/caregivers of the students who were performing and leading the song for the week join us. Please remember that you are welcome to join morning meeting if your child is leading the Pledge, the Wolfpack Chant, performing or helping to lead the song for the week. We are hoping to have more families join us soon, but for now we are limiting the number of people in the auditorium as much as possible. Thank you for your patience with this.

This week is the last full week for our spring parent-teacher conferences. We hope that you found your conference time informative and productive. We recognize that 30 minutes isn’t always enough time to discuss everything, but we believe that having time to talk over the conference guide and set goals together is an important part of developing a partnership that supports student growth and learning. Thank you for taking the time to meet with your child’s teachers and remember that if you ever have questions or concerns, you are free to contact them anytime. If you have not set a date for your conference, please take care of that as soon as you are able.

Now that we have an extra hour of daylight each evening, it can be tempting to let go of some of the daily routines you have set in your house. We know that adjusting to Daylight Saving Time can be challenging, but we encourage you to continue or even tighten up on bedtime and morning routines. With only 9.5 weeks of school left of this school year, we want to make every minute of it count. Having students come to school well rested and ready for the day of learning is a huge support and benefits us all.

I hope you have a wonderful remainder of your week. As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Wishing you well,

Lara
