Elementary Principal Letter

Dear ANCS Elementary Families,

I hope you all had a wonderful and safe Halloween! We definitely had some tired kiddos in school on Tuesday, but overall, the day went well! Thank you for supporting us with no costumes or candy at school.

I want to give Nichole Lupo a huge thank you for hosting the DEAT Farm Event last Tuesday and to all members of our Diversity, Equity Action Team for helping to organize this. It was a big success and a great way for folks to learn more about the farm and our focus on diversity, equity and inclusion.

Also, many thanks to those of you who were able to attend the Conscious Discipline Parent workshop last night. I hope you found this helpful and were able to walk away with a better understanding of how we use Conscious Discipline here at school and some strategies you can begin trying at home. If you were unable to attend, definitely check out the Conscious Discipline website. There is a plethora of information on there that I am sure you will find useful.

We are all super excited about our annual Fall Fest that is happening this Saturday from 12:00-3:00 here at the elementary campus. This is an event for students of all ages and the whole family is welcome to attend. We are especially looking forward to seeing many grandparents and special friends, as there will be some new activities this year that cater to them. Don’t forget that right before Fall Fest we will have a brief 20th Year Celebration beginning at 11:30.

If you didn’t see the letter from our school nurses in last week’s courier, I just wanted to remind you to please be vigilant about keeping your child home if they are showing signs of illness. We have had several confirmed cases of the flu in the past couple of weeks and COVID cases are picking back up. Thank you for helping us keep a safe and healthy learning environment for all of our students.

As always, I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Have a wonderful remainder of your week!

Wishing you well,

Lara
