Letter from Cathey Goodgame – May 8, 2019

Dear ANCS Families and Friends,

We’re about half way through our very long Milestones testing window and we appreciate you helping us out by getting your children to school a little bit earlier each day. Please continue to do so through next Tuesday even if your child is finished with testing. Having everyone here by 8:15 am, a little earlier than usual, helps us get students and adults where they need to be before the testing sessions begin. The remaining testing sessions are below:

8th grade:
Thursday, May 9 – Science
Friday, May 10 – Social Studies

Note: 8th graders leave for Washington, DC on Monday, May 13 so it is critical that all 8th grade are present for testing on May 9 and May 10 unless seriously ill. If your child is ill on one or both of those days please contact Mark Sanders or Kristin Lee.

6th grade:
Thursday, May 9 – ELA Section 1
Friday, May 10 – ELA Section 2 and 3
Monday, May, 13 – Math Section 1
Tuesday, May 14 – Math Section 2

While testing is definitely the focus right now, the attention of the 6th and 7th graders will soon turn to their Exhibitions. Sixth and seventh grade Exhibitions will happen each morning from Thursday, May 16 through Tuesday, May 22. If you haven’t already heard from your child’s advisor about setting up a time that should be coming very soon.

Finally, don’t forget that the last PTCA meeting of the year will be on Tuesday, May 14 at 6:30 at the Elementary Campus. What better way to wrap up the school year than with some family fun and great food?! We’ll wrap up the year, approve 2019-2020 PTCA Executive Committee slate, and there will also be a special performance by the ANCS Chorus! Dinner is buffet style prepared by Chef Bradley, and just $8 per person. All meals must be pre-ordered and you can do that by clicking here then scrolling to the bottom of the page.

Wishing you well,
