Letter from Lara Zelski – May 15, 2019

Dear ANCS Families and Friends,

As the time for closing out the 2018-2019 school year draws nearer, we have been focusing on our fifth Guiding Principle, “We Celebrate Our Individual and Collective Successes.” With field day coming up next Monday, the daily countdown t-shirts at morning meeting, portfolio shares, the filming of the fifth grade movie, and special morning meeting performances we have been very busy. I am very proud of the great work we have accomplished together and I hope each student is equally proud of his/her successes this year.

We are all excited that Blake Bauer will be the principal for the day tomorrow. He is ready to take the reigns and lead the school. He has lots of great ideas up his sleeve and it is sure to be a great day. Please feel free to email Blake. I am sure he would love to hear from you.

Please remember to be mindful of our neighbors as you are coming to school over the next several days. Do not block driveways or crosswalks or park in the church parking lot. I understand that parking around the school can be tricky, but we want to remain considerate neighbors.

This is also true during arrival and dismissal. Please do not block our neighbors’ driveways while waiting in the carpool lane. Just leave space for them to pull out or in, please.

Don’t forget that the last day of school, May 24th, is a half day. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 am. Lunch will be offered to all students prior to leaving. Students will receive their final report card for the year on the last day. So be looking for that in their backpack. Also, please take care of any outstanding balances for after school, lunch or the library prior to the last day of school.

As always, I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Have a wonderful remainder of your week.

Lara
