Letter from Lara Zelski – May 16, 2018

Dear ANCS Families and Friends,

As the time for closing out the 2017-2018 school year draws nearer, we have been focusing on our fifth Guiding Principle, “We Celebrate Our Individual and Collective Successes.” With field day coming up next Monday, the daily countdown at morning meeting, Make A Difference Day next Tuesday, portfolio shares, the filming of the fifth grade movie, and special morning meeting performances we have been very busy. I am very proud of the great work we have accomplished together and I hope each student is equally proud of his/her successes this year.

We are all excited that Nelle Longfield will be the principal for the day tomorrow. She is ready to take the reigns and lead the school. She has declared tomorrow a school-wide super hero day, so make sure you send your child to school in best super hero costume if he/she wants to participate. If you would like to email Nelle, you can do so at nlongfield@atlncs.org. I am sure she would love to hear from you.

Please remember to be mindful of our neighbors as you are coming to school over the next several days. Do not block driveways or crosswalks or park in the church parking lot. I understand that parking around the school can be tricky, but we want to remain considerate neighbors.

Don’t forget that the last day of school, May 24th, is a half day. Students will be dismissed at 11:30. Lunch will be served to all students prior to leaving. Students will receive their final report card for the year on the last day. So be looking for that in their backpack.

As always, I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Have a wonderful remainder of your week.

Lara
