Letter from Lara Zelski – October 23, 2019

Dear ANCS Families and Friends,

We have been having a very busy this month here at the elementary campus. Each week has been full of learning, projects and excitement!

First, I want to thank Brett Albino and Melissa Dreyer for leading the way again this year with organizing Grandparents and Special Friends Day again this year and to Brittney Gove and all the PTCA leadership for supporting this wonderful morning at the EC. We also had many other volunteers who were at school early setting up and helping to check guests in. All of their hard work and dedication helped to make the event such a success. We had a huge turn out and have received a lot of positive feedback from our guests. Thank you all for your time!

I also want to give Chef Bradley and his team a shout out for providing our guests with delicious food and coffee. Our nutrition team goes above and beyond to support all of us with a healthy variety of food each day. Finally, thank you to Annette Wawerna and Susan Taylor for supporting our chorus students and directing a beautiful performance for our guests.

Many of you already know that Mr. Turcotte had his last day working at the front desk on October 10th. He and his family are moving to Washington D.C. to embark on a new adventure and we honored him during morning meeting. We are so grateful for the time and energy Mr. Turcotte gave to ANCS and will always remember him as a valued member of our school family.

With that said, we are excited to welcome Mrs. Elizabeth Wilke, who will share the receptionist position with Abbie Gulson. Many of you will remember Mrs. Wilke as Ms. Swern, ANCS kindergarten teacher. Please take a few minutes to stop by the front desk and welcome her back to the ANCS school family.

Finally, as Halloween is quickly approaching and events around town are ramping up, our children are naturally becoming more and more excited. This is a fun time of year, but we ask that children do not wear their costumes to school or bring candy from their trick-or-treating loot. Thanks for helping us with this at home.

Thanks to each of you for your continued dedication and support of our wonderful school! Have a great remainder of your week.
