Letter from Lara Zelski – October 31, 2018

Dear ANCS Families and Friends,

I hope you all enjoy a safe and happy Halloween this evening. We have had a lot of excited kiddos come through the doors this morning, and while we are anticipating tiredness, we are looking forward to a calm and productive remainder of our week. Thank you for helping us keep candy and costumes at home.

It was great to see so many of you at the Conscious Discipline parent workshop on Monday evening. If you were unable to make it and are interested in learning more about Conscious Discipline, you can visit the website. There is a wealth of information there for you to enjoy.

The PTCA Fall Festival: Battle of the Bands Edition will take place this Saturday, November 3 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the Elementary Campus. In addition to the battle of the bands, there will be a scarecrow creation competition and there will also be games, food and activities for all families to enjoy. This is all being sponsored by our amazing PTCA, so there is no cost to you. For more information about the event, click here.

If you are interested in supporting the related arts committee with getting ready for Winterfest, our annual December program here at the elementary campus, please reach out to Annette Wawerna. The committee needs more volunteers to help make this program successful.

Finally, next Tuesday is Election Day in Atlanta and I hope everyone will get out and vote in the many important mid-term elections. Remember that ANCS has school as usual on Tuesday, November 6. Since many APS schools are polling places, APS has decided to make the day a teacher work day but neither ANCS campus is a polling location so we’re having a regular school day.

Thank you for all you do to support ANCS. As always, please let me know if you have any questions.

Have a wonderful remainder of your week.
