Letter from the MC Principal

Hello MC families,

This has been a whirlwind of a week as we’ve closed out the first semester. On Tuesday our Spelling Bee took place in the Media Center. We had lots of participants from both campuses, and 7th grader Libby Zimmerman was our winner for the second year in a row. Tuesday evening we also had our Fall Athletics Banquet and all five of our fall sports (cheer, cross country, flag football, ultimate frisbee, and volleyball) were celebrated. In the building students wrapped up summatives and other activities as teachers brought various units of study to a close. For those who are wondering about our reporting on student academic performance for the end of the semester, end of semester reports will go out in January – look for more information about that in my Courier letter after the break.

Unfortunately, we’ve also had lots of students sick this week, so this is a quick reminder to keep your students home if they are not well. Overall though, this has been a great first semester and we look forward to a great second half of the year!

Please remember that dismissal is at noon (12:00pm) today and all students must be picked up at that time. There is no After Care and the Boys and Girls Club is closed.

We hope that you have a joyous and restorative break filled with quality time with friends and family. Happy Holidays, and we will see you in January!

Kind regards,
