In the Spring of 2025, we’ll be heading out for our THIRD international service learning tour – this time, to The Dominican Republic. I am excited to return to the gorgeous mountains of the island, where I trained to become a Group Leader. The National Forestry School is a stunning campus, where students will learn about the reforestation efforts happening on the island and work with local communities to build hothouses, composting and recycling stations, and increase access to fresh water – & more!
What is truly special about this opportunity is how perfectly it complements what we are all about here at ANCS: global mindedness, being of service to our community and our world, learning to speak Spanish, learning collaboratively, deeply reflecting on our experiences and learning, and building community.
On Tuesday Dec. 5, at 6pm, I am hosting an interest meeting about the 2025 trip. We’ll meet in the Media Center on the Middle Campus.
