Thank You from the PTCA President

As the clock ticks down on this extraordinary school year,  I want to thank everyone in the school family for supporting the PTCA during a difficult season. When I sat down to compose my introductory letter at the beginning of the year, I remember feeling nervous and trepidatious about starting the school year 100% virtual.

The school challenged the PTCA to come up with creative ways to keep the ANCS family connected while physically separated. We saw most of our traditional events turn virtual such as Run with the Wolves, Bingo Night, and 3rd Friday Coffees and managed to come up with some new ideas that might stick around like Cook Alongs and Trivia Nights.

The past four years on the PTCA Board have been such an enjoyable experience, and I am sad to see my term as PTCA President end. We have an amazing group of dedicated volunteers. I am proud of the wonderful things we accomplished.

Thank you to the current officers who carry on the PTCA torch: Rachel Ezzo, Gracie Gummere, Jim Paisley, Toshia Meadows, and Maria McFeeley (MC extraordinaire). A huge thank you to the officers who are rolling off this year. Alyssa Kopp, Nikki Zimmerman, and Krista Koch: You made my job so much easier! Thanks for always being willing to pick up the slack. Kelly Dennis: Thank you for your years of service to the PTCA and for making sure we always kept the folks at the Elementary Campus happy. To my right-hand woman, Brittney Gove: Thank you for always picking up the phone and being the best advice giver I know. I could never thank you enough for stepping up this year as I navigated a difficult transition both personally and professionally. I don’t think I would have survived without your funny memes (especially the guinea pig ones) and take-a-deep-breath moments.

Although the ending is bittersweet, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the PTCA.

Thank you for the opportunity,
