DEAT’s Celebration of Food, Farm & Culture

Join us at the Elementary Campus School Farm on Tuesday, April 18 from 6:00pm-7:30pm for a celebration of food, farming, and culture on our school farm. We’ll take a look at the role food and farming plays in upholding our school family values of equity and inclusivity, discuss identity through food, and hear from a local urban farming legend, Mr. Rashid K. Nuri of Truly Living Well Center for Natural Urban Agriculture. Light refreshments featuring school farm produce will be provided by the ANCS Nutrition team, and there will be opportunities to win books about food and farming for adults and kids alike. This event is suitable for the whole family, and all are welcome; we’ll have crafts and games to keep our youngest farm friends active and entertained. As always, the evening is presented by DEAT (Diversity and Equity Action Team), a committee of the ANCS PTCA (Parent Teacher Community Association). Please RSVP here.
