Meet Dr. Woody-Wideman!
Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening. I am Dr. NaTasha Woody-Wideman, and I’m proud to serve in my third year as the Director of School Services and Community Outreach at Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School. In this role, I work across both campuses to support the people, programs, and systems that help our students, families, and staff thrive.
My work includes coordinating school safety and emergency preparedness, supporting technology and operational services, overseeing enrichment and after-school programming, strengthening volunteer engagement, and helping ensure that our school remains connected to families and the broader community. I also collaborate closely with campus leaders, staff members, parents, community partners, and service providers to address needs, solve problems, and create meaningful opportunities for involvement. At the heart of my role is a commitment to making sure our school community feels informed, supported, welcomed, and safe.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Clark Atlanta University, a Master of Arts in Teaching in English Education from Georgia State University, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Clark Atlanta University. Throughout my career in education, I have served as a middle and high school English teacher, instructional coach, and middle and high school assistant principal. Each of these experiences has shaped my belief that strong schools are built through meaningful relationships, clear communication, responsive systems, and a genuine commitment to children and families.
What I value most about ANCS is our dedication to community and our belief that every member of our school family has something meaningful to contribute. I truly enjoy helping families connect with the school, supporting staff members in their work, and creating systems that allow our students to have safe, engaging, and enriching experiences.
Outside of school, I’m a proud mom and bonus mom to five children—including an Army soldier and a Navy sailor—and the dog mom of two Shih-Tzus. I also enjoy teaching literature and composition, dancing, listening to music, and spending time with the people I love.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always happy to connect, collaborate, and help members of our community find the information or support they need.
