National Hispanic Heritage Month
September 15th to October 15th is National Hispanic Heritage Month! During this month, we honor the cultures and contributions of both Hispanic and Latinx Americans as we celebrate heritage rooted in all Latin American countries. Our nutrition department will be featuring several traditional dishes in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month beginning with Ms. Paez’s pico de gallo and salsa verde tomorrow! Ms. Paez taught us these recipes and more in our Cooking with ANCS series last fall. Here’s the link to the video if you’d like to revisit this interesting and instructive video and cook la comida autentica at home. Check out the book lists below to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with your families!
