Updated COVID Guidelines

APS has updated their COVID-19 protocols to align with the new guidance recently released by the CDC. These guidelines align with our existing protocols for Flu and RSV.

If positive for COVID-19, students may return to normal activities if they have been fever free (without the use of fever-reducing medication) for 24 hours and symptoms have improved overall. Students should exercise caution for 5 days after returning to normal activities. This includes practicing proper hygiene, wearing a well-fitting mask and maintaining physical distance, especially around immunocompromised individuals.

If an individual experiences fever and/or worsening symptoms after resuming normal activities, they should remain at home and avoid contact with others until symptoms improve.

Reminder, any student who is not feeling well should stay home. We have seen an increase in communicable diseases in our school community in the last 2 weeks. Keeping your child at home when they are ill will help keep our school family healthy.

If your child is absent from school for any reason, please remember to fill out the ANCS attendance form

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Nurse Hicks (EC) or Nurse Leslye (MC).
