Kristen Daniel

Physical Education Teacher

Kristen Daniel joined the ANCS faculty for the 2011-2012 school year. She spent her first 8 years at ANCS teaching third and fourth grades and made the switch to PE for the 2019/2020 school year. Prior to teaching at ANCS, Ms. Daniel traveled the globe for 5 years working at a summer camp for seriously ill children, as a ski resort lifty, and as a teacher at an educational farm in Boston.

Ms. Daniel says that the best part of working at ANCS is the open and supportive environment. “I can honestly say that I have a personal relationship with the majority of our administration, fellow teachers, parents, and students. It’s amazing to be a part of such a wonderful school family.”

In her free time, Ms. Daniel enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Jess, and their two mutts, Annabelle and Walter. She also can be found running, swimming, reading, traveling, cooking, gardening, and singing with her band, False Hearted Lovers.

Ms. Daniel has a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education with a minor in Reading from North Georgia College and State University where she also received her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a Reading endorsement. She is certified to teach Health and PE in grades P-12, and has recently obtained an endorsement to teach ESOL.
