Carla Wells

Carla Wells is joining the ANCS Governing Board for the first time for the 2020-2021 school year. She has two children at ANCS, Naomi in 4th grade and Nia in 8th grade.

She brings a unique perspective that will offer a deeper understanding of why it is critical to create a school community that genuinely reflects its mission in creating a diverse, inclusive, and equitable learning environment. Being an ANCS board member offers her an incredible opportunity to gain insight as to how the school operates and functions in creating an atmosphere where all are growing and overcoming challenges together. The staff and administration of ANCS are facing trying times; however, they are fully committed daily to providing incredible learning and engaging experiences for their students. Ms. Wells is excited to serve as a board member in continuing to build upon the collective commitment towards advancing the school mission.

Ms. Wells enjoys taking walks with her family, visiting museums, and cozying up with a good book on rainy days. A weekly activity she enjoys is watching Carnival Eats with her daughters. She especially enjoys when they ask to create their own version of whatever sugary, gooey, messy concoction seen on the show.
