2nd Grade Teacher

Pamela Lawrence earned a Master of Science as a Reading Specialist from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology from State University of New Paltz, New York

Pamela has been teaching since 2002. Her first year teaching was as an assistant teacher in the dual-language and gifted and talented kindergarten classrooms. Following her heart’s desire to travel, she ventured out to Hawaii where she held positions as a 2nd grade teacher and as a preschool special education teacher.  She then spent two years as a Kindergarten teacher at Kis International School in Bangkok, Thailand, where she was trained in the primary years/IB system. Returning to the United States in 2008, she took a Reading Specialist position at Christopher Columbus Charter School in Philadelphia and then moved to Pan American Academy Charter School to return to the Primary Years Program (PYP).  Since moving to Atlanta in January 2011, she has worked as a mother’s helper, an early parenting educator, a Kinderdance teacher and a preschool teacher at New Morning Community Preschool. With the closing of the preschool, she set her eyes on ANCS!

Pamela and her husband have two children: Asher and Gwenyth, along with a new puppy, 3 chickens and 3 fish. The kids keep busy with play dates, exploring Atlanta’s best attractions and playgrounds and rocking out in the kitchen.
