Letter from our Communications & Engagement Manager
Hi ANCS Families,
My name is Paige Teusink, and I serve as the Manager of Communications & Engagement. This is my sixth year working at ANCS, but my connection to the school runs much deeper. My daughter, Cora, is a 6th grader at the Middle Campus, and my son, Everett, attended ANCS from kindergarten through 8th grade and is now a 9th grader at Maynard Jackson High School. Experiencing the school as both a parent and staff member has given me a special appreciation for all that makes this school such a meaningful place to learn and grow.
In my role, I manage school communications like the Courier, our website, and social media, and I also help with branding, storytelling, and event promotion. You’ll often find me working behind the scenes on things like volunteer sign-ups, marketing materials, and school-wide announcements. I collaborate with our PTCA to plan events that bring us together – like Music Fest, Kickball, and Grandparents & Special Friends Day – and to help families find ways to get involved through volunteering. I also support our amazing Performing Arts Department by designing show posters, programs, and other graphics that help bring their creative vision to life.
One of the best parts of my job is getting to share the stories that capture who we are—the everyday moments that make ANCS so special. Whether it’s a student performing at Morning Meeting, our nutrition staff thoughtfully preparing a cultural celebration meal, a parent volunteering at an event, or our Farm team guiding students through hands-on experiences, these moments remind me why our school is so unique. Communication at ANCS isn’t just about sharing updates – it’s about connection, transparency, and celebrating the people who make this community what it is.
Working here gives me a front-row seat to the commitment and care that our educators bring to their work everyday. As a parent, I’m grateful that my kids have grown up in a place where curiosity, empathy, and belonging are part of the daily experience. As a staff member, I’m proud to play a small part in making sure that story is told and that our community continues to feel informed, included, and inspired.
ANCS has shaped my family in so many ways, and I’m honored to contribute to its story. Whether I’m helping get the word out about an event, designing something for the school store, or highlighting the great work of our students and teachers, I do it with immense pride in this community and what we’re building together.
With gratitude,
Paige
