Exploring Enrichment: ANCS AfterCare Program

With a dedicated staff, our ANCS AfterCare Program is off to a great start for the 2023-24 school year. If you were wondering what a typical afternoon in AfterCare at the Elementary Campus is like, we start off with a snack, home enrichment and recess. This is followed by an hour-long workshop that each student gets to choose from. We hold six K-2nd grade workshops and six 3rd-5th grade workshops, all lead by our staff. Our workshop offerings include Origami design, paper airplane design and tournament, pickle ball, soccer, French culture, Spanish culture, the ANCS News, bracelet making, paper lanterns, 3D Mario Mushrooms, melty beads, painting, creature creation, papier-mâché birds, dream catchers, and much more. Workshops are held Monday-Thursday from 4:05pm-5:05pm. Friday is movie day and usually a fun surprise. (There is a water balloon dodgeball tournament in the works!) Our amazing AfterCare staff includes ANCS teachers as well as outside staff, many of whom are ANCS alumni.

AfterCare is a drop-in service, no need to sign up in advance. Students who are not picked up by 2:55pm (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday) and 1:45pm on Wednesdays will be signed into AfterCare. The cost is $20/day per student and $15/day per sibling. Statements go out every two weeks with a link to pay via Square. There are a limited number of scholarships available. You may complete an application from the website here. If you have any questions, please email Kelly Dennis, EC Director, kdennis@atlncs.org or Jaquoia Rockmore, EC Assistant Director,
