Ed Santos

Facilities Manager

Ed Santos joined the ANCS staff in 2021 as Facilities Manager. He attended Lamar University and holds a Horticultural Certification from North Metro Tech. He is also a Georgia Green Industry Association Certified Plant Professional.

Mr. Santos brings over a decade of experience working in educational settings, combining his passion for horticulture, sustainability, and community care. Prior to ANCS, he spent 13.5 years in the Horticulture Department at Zoo Atlanta, ultimately leading the team before taking on a similar leadership role at the Houston Zoo. After the birth of his daughter, he and his wife made the decision to return to Atlanta, where he stayed home to care for their two children. He later joined The Ormewood School as a teacher before arriving at ANCS.

Mr. Santos is deeply committed to creating and maintaining school environments that are safe, functional, and inspiring for students and staff alike. He believes in the value of learning through doing and brings that philosophy into his work every day.

Outside of school, Mr. Santos enjoys attending live music events, following sports and politics, cooking, and gardening organically with native and pollinator-friendly plants. A lifelong learner, he is always seeking new opportunities for personal and professional growth.
