Nicole King re-joined the ANCS faculty in 2017 as a 1st Grade Teacher and began serving as our Elementary Campus Assistant Principal in 2018. Ms. King received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Agnes Scott College (2005) Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Massachusetts Lowell (2012), Tier I Educational Leadership Certification from the University of West Georgia, and is currently pursuing her Education Specialist Degree in Tier II Educational Leadership Certification at Kennesaw State University (expected graduation date – 2026).

Ms. King began her teaching career in 2005 at ANCS and was a classroom teacher for 12 years before becoming the Assistant Principal. In addition to our charter school, Ms. King has had experience in an Independent School and Title I school. She is very passionate about curriculum development and implementation (specifically in reading and writing), and classroom management.

Ms. King enjoys spending time with her family, taking little getaways (especially to the beach), and decorating and planning family events and celebrations. Christmas and birthdays are her favorite things to celebrate! …And she LOVES her Trinidadian and Guyanese culture. Lastly, she enjoys and cannot live without…the art of dance.
