Meet our Dean of Student Supports!

My name is Rhiannen Laurent, and I’m proud to serve as the Dean of Student Supports at ANCS. In my role, I work across both campuses, which gives me the incredible opportunity to watch our students grow and thrive over the years. This is my 17th year at ANCS, and I feel truly fortunate to be part of such a thoughtful and student-centered community.

Originally from Southwest Florida, I moved to Atlanta after graduating from the University of Florida. I began my career in banking, but quickly realized that my true passion was education. I earned a Master’s in Education from Georgia State University and taught 4th and 5th grades in Fulton County and Atlanta Public Schools before finding my professional home at ANCS.

Currently, I primarily support students with disabilities and the teachers who serve them. I also oversee our 504 and MTSS programs, working to ensure that all students receive the supports they need to succeed. What I love most about ANCS is our deep commitment to creating a strong sense of belonging for every student—we truly put children at the center of everything we do. This is a big reason I have been here for almost 2 decades!

Outside of school, I’m a proud mom of two: one is a junior in college at Georgia Southern, and the other is a senior at Maynard Jackson High School. I live in Ormewood Park and enjoy being part of such an amazing in-town community.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m always happy to connect!
