Meet Dr. Woody-Wideman!

Hello, ANCS Family!

I’m Dr. NaTasha Woody-Wideman—an Atlanta native, proud graduate of Atlanta Public Schools, and one of the last true “Georgia Peaches.” I’ve spent my career serving students and schools, especially those navigating the greatest challenges, and I’m honored to support our community as Director of School Services and Community Outreach at ANCS.

Raised by a determined single mother as her only daughter, I like to think of myself as the rose that grew from concrete. My journey in education has been both diverse and deeply rewarding—I’ve taught middle and high school English, served as an Instructional Coach, and worked as an Assistant Principal. I earned my doctorate in Educational Leadership from Clark Atlanta University in 2013, building on a B.A. in English from CAU and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Georgia State University.

One of my greatest passions is building authentic partnerships with families. I especially love welcoming parents who are new to our school and helping them feel at home. I believe that when families are engaged and connected, students thrive—and I’m committed to making sure every voice feels heard and every family feels valued.

Beyond the school walls, service is a guiding principle in my life. I’m an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, where I advocate for equity, education, and community uplift.

At home, I’m a proud wife, mom, and bonus mom to five incredible kids—including a U.S. Army soldier, a Navy sailor, and an energetic 5th grader who keeps me on my toes! I’m also the GiGi to my amazing grandson and fur mom to two sweet pups, Teddy and Cinnamon.

I’m truly excited about the journey ahead and look forward to partnering with each of you to uplift, empower, and strengthen our amazing school community.

With warmth and commitment,

Dr. NaTasha Woody-Wideman
