The Gather and Grow Fund runs from July 1 to June 30 each year and brings our community together in the spirit of giving.

The Gather and Grow Fund is ANCS’s annual campaign that directly supports the school’s operating budget. The Gather and Grow Fund runs from July 1 to June 30 each year and brings our community together in the spirit of giving.

As a charter school, we enjoy the privilege of making decisions about priorities we set for our campuses. While we receive the majority of its funding from state and local sources, fundraising is still critical for two very important reasons: bridging the gap for families facing financial hardship and support for major projects and programs such as The Backyard at the Middle Campus and Farm at both campuses.

In addition to financial assistance and support for major projects, there are many programs and initiatives that rely on donations to our Gather & Grow Annual Fund such as:

  • School supplies for all students
  • Class socials
  • Faculty & staff appreciation
  • Farm-to-table culinary program
  • Technology enhancements
  • Related arts and athletics programming
  • Professional growth and development opportunities for teachers & staff

We hope you will consider making a donation to support our efforts. Donations of any amount are appreciated, whether it is a $5 per month recurring donation, a $400 annual gift, or a leadership level gift of $1,000 or more.

To make a gift, please complete the online form below or mail a check to: Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School, 688 Grant Street, Atlanta, GA 30315.

Donations will be tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Gather & Grow Annual Fund Benefits

Why should I give?

In addition to funding from state and local sources, the school depends on gifts from donors like you to continue to provide the unique ANCS experience to our students.

Gifts to the annual campaign are key in that they directly support the school’s operating budget and help cover crucial expenses such as faculty/staff salaries and benefits, building and grounds maintenance, and programming and curriculum needs.

Historically, annual campaign gifts have also supported new initiatives such as the reduction of class sizes, faculty and staff professional development, implementation of the IB program at the Middle Campus, enhancing our Farm-to-School nutrition program, and related arts and athletics programming.

How much should I give?

Approximately $400 per child (a little over a dollar a day) is needed to retain our programs, but every gift, regardless of size, matters and is greatly appreciated. We encourage you to give as generously as you can to support our unique mission. Our goal is 100% participation from our community.

Please give an amount that is rewarding and meaningful to you. Together we can ensure that our students continue to ‘gather and grow’. Thank you for your support of ANCS!

Matching Gifts

Many companies offer programs that match charitable donations made by their employees, directors, employees’ spouses, or retirees. Such programs typically match all or a percentage of the donation, making the employer a partner in the donor’s personal philanthropy.

To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, use the Matching Gift Search database.

Thank you for your support of ANCS! Your annual gift, no matter the size, makes a difference in the lives of our students.
