Executive Director

Alastair Pullen joined ANCS as Executive Director in 2023. His educational journey began with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colby College in 2002, where he developed a solid foundation for his academic pursuits. He went on to earn a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard University in 2005 and a Doctorate in Philosophy from Emory University in 2012.

With an impressive 15 years of experience in the education field, Alastair has held various roles in esteemed institutions. He served as the Principal at the International Community School and held positions as the Dean and Assistant Principal at Wesley International Academy. Alastair’s teaching journey began in Atlanta Public Schools, where he made a difference as an English Language Arts and Special Education teacher. Beyond the school setting, Alastair has contributed to the educational community in numerous capacities. He worked as an Academic Advisor and Admissions Reader at Emory University and served as a Teaching Fellow at Emory University.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Alastair enjoys engaging in a variety of personal interests. He finds solace in kayaking and hiking. A lifelong learner, he enjoys reading and watching documentaries, always seeking to broaden his knowledge and perspectives. Above all, Alastair cherishes spending quality time with his wife, Sara, and their three children, Chatham, Winthrop, and Leyden.
