Bex Godsey

Fund Development Coordinator

Bex Godsey earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art History with a minor in Photography from the University of North Florida. Bex returns to the school setting as an alumna of AmeriCorps and Communities In Schools, having served in both during college.

In her professional journey, Bex has consistently focused on connecting communities, supporting Atlanta’s vibrant cultural landscape, and strengthening public programs and spaces without barriers. She currently works in the Mayor’s Office of Special Events, where she prioritizes marquis event production and permitting. Before joining the municipality, Bex held roles in the nonprofit sector, including programming with Atlanta Celebrates Photography and community engagement with the Grant Park Conservancy.

A self-described “grazer of creative exploration,” Bex is always eager to dive into new interests, often moving on to the next fascination just as she’s equipped herself to master the last. Currently, landscape design and native gardening captivate her attention—but she’s always up for a new ceramics class!
