Kristen Frenzel

Board Chair; Executive Director Support & Evaluation; Board Governance Committee Chair

Kristen’s term on the board began in the 2018-19 school year. She has two daughters enrolled at ANCS middle, Alice and Audrey.
 
Given her professional experience as a STEM educator at Emory University, she hopes to contribute insight and expertise about STEM disciplines, pedagogical advancements and educational assessment. She’s particularly interested in promoting and supporting an inclusive and diverse school community. The best part of contributing to the ANCS Board will be working with like-minded individuals who are dedicated to enriching the ANCS community. Although her family is new to ANCS, she gets the sense that commitment to community-building, like Morning Meeting, and the choice of using Conscience Discipline contribute in powerful ways to the goal of educating the whole student.
 
Both her and her husband are Atlanta natives and they’ve been Ormewood Park residents since 2003. Their family’s passion is soccer and their kids play with InterAtlanta FC and they avidly support Atlanta’s own MLS team, Atlanta United FC.
