Brianna Holmes
First Grade Teacher
Ms. Holmes brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as a 1st grade teacher. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary/Special Education from Mercer University. Ms. Holmes has taught kindergarten at ANCS for 4 ½ years and recently transitioned into 1st grade this past school year. Prior to her time at ANCS, she taught Georgia Pre-K for three years in Decatur.
Ms. Holmes has always had a passion for education. She believes in providing every student with an equal opportunity to learn and excels in creating meaningful, real-life, connection-based learning experiences. Her teaching philosophy focuses on exploring together with her students, helping them solve their own problems, and fostering active, independent learning. She also brings a unique gift of calmness and communication, helping students manage their emotions in a productive way.
Outside the classroom, Ms. Holmes enjoys cooking and experimenting with new and interesting recipes. She is very family-oriented and enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones. She is also an active member at her local church and enjoys serving and giving back to her community. Additionally, she has a passion for teaching dance, listening to encouraging music, and is an avid reader.
Ms. Holmes’ dedication to both her professional and personal pursuits makes her an inspiring educator and role model for her students.
