Maya Ferguson is a lifelong resident of Atlanta. She attended ANCS as a student from K-8. She returned to ANCS in 2021 and worked as an aftercare teacher, then as an adjunct on the farm, and she is excited to now be working in the classroom. She has a strong connection to the school and loves continuing to be a part of the ANCS community as an educator.
Maya has a B.S. in Ecology with a minor in Anthropology from the University of Georgia. Prior to working at ANCS, Maya participated in a variety of projects in the fields of farming, food, conservation and education. She loves getting to combine so many of her interests in her work with the students. Outside of ANCS, Maya loves cooking, farming, foraging and spending time outdoors with her community.
