ESS Associate Teacher

Milan Masic joined ANCS in 2023 and is passionate about creating engaging, inclusive classrooms where every student feels supported and inspired to learn. He is committed to helping students grow academically while building confidence, curiosity, and strong relationships.

Mr. Masic earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in Middle Level Education with concentrations in English Language Arts and Social Studies from Georgia State University. During his teacher preparation program, he emphasized Universal Design for Learning and the Historically Responsive Literacy Framework, developing student-centered instructional practices that meet the diverse needs of learners.

Before joining ANCS, Mr. Masic completed his student teaching at David T. Howard Middle School in Atlanta Public Schools, where he designed engaging, inquiry-based lessons, collaborated with mentor teachers, and incorporated culturally relevant literature and differentiated instruction into the classroom. He also participated in the CREATE Project Residency, where he explored culturally responsive teaching, equity, classroom community, and instructional planning through ongoing professional learning.

Outside of the classroom, Mr. Masic enjoys working with people and values opportunities to build strong relationships within the community. His previous experiences in customer service, food service, and as a lifeguard helped develop the leadership, teamwork, and communication skills that continue to shape his work as an educator.
