Talishia Sims

6th/7th Grade Language & Literature Teacher

Talishia earned her degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Florida. She has four years of teaching experience in a school setting. Before starting a career in education, she worked for Aetna Insurance. During her time with this company, she was in the role of a claim specialist.

Ms. Sims is a proud member of Omicron Psi Omega, INC., a Masculine of Center fraternity she joined during her undergraduate career at FAMU. She is an active member of the Alpha Beta Chapter here in Atlanta, Ga.

Ms. Sims enjoys reading, writing, spa days, weekend ventures throughout the city, and daily workouts in her free time. She also enjoys spending time with her family, friends, partner, and fur baby. She is passionate about providing an open and comfortable space for her students to relax and enjoy acquiring knowledge from words and expressing themselves with a pen.
