Toccara Nelson
7th/8th Sciences Teacher
In the fall of 2021, Toccara Nelson became a valued member of the ANCS faculty. Her academic achievements include a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communications from Bennett College and a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in Middle Grades Education, with a focus on Mathematics and Science, from Georgia State University.
Before joining ANCS, Toccara honed her skills as a Teaching Artist and Operations Manager at Creative Art Works in New York, where she shared her creative talents and nurtured artistic expression among students. Additionally, her passion for education led her to dedicate over a decade to tutoring students in mathematics, making a positive impact on their academic success.
Outside her professional life, Toccara’s creative spirit shines through her love for arts and crafts. She finds joy in various artistic pursuits, from crafting to painting, allowing her creativity to flourish. Moreover, she embraces her musical side and delights in sharing her singing talents with others. When seeking moments of relaxation and inspiration, Toccara enjoys embarking on invigorating road trips, discovering new places and experiences.
