Private School Applications & Maynard Jackson HS Tours

Good morning, parents! I have two key announcements regarding both private school application processes and upcoming events at Maynard Jackson High School:

Private School Application Reminders

1. Recommendations:
Please provide our staff with at least two weeks’ notice if your student requires recommendation letters for high school applications. In addition to submitting online requests, it’s a great practice for students to speak directly with the adults they wish to ask for recommendations and confirm their willingness to participate.

2. Records Requests:
Since 2020, Atlanta Public Schools no longer allows parents to request school records for private school applications. All records must be requested directly by the private school via the APS system. For details, please reach out to Maria McFeeley, or private schools can use the APS ScribTransfer portal at https://transfer.scriborder.com/.

Maynard Jackson High School Fall Tours for Rising 9th Graders

Prospective families are invited to join fall tours at MJHS to explore academics, athletics, and extracurriculars. Tours are open to students and families. To RSVP, please contact Ms. Oliver at (404) 802-5221 or use the QR code on the attached flyer.
